NetWorker Windows 2012 support

Hi all,

Is Windows 2012 supported in NetWorker, and if not, when it will be?

In our enviroment we have several servers on Windows 2012 and would like to backup those.

thank you

You can use all the same channels for reporting an issue as you normally would.

Does non-wizard client creation and backup work?

If not, you should also check the connection between the two machines with the following command:

From the server: nsradmin -s -p 390113

From the client: nsradmin -s

From the client: nsradmin -s -p 390113

If this gets through to the nsradmin prompt, then the connection is ok, otherwise it is not.  If you do  not get the

nsradmin prompt, it means you have a connection problem and you will have to ensure that the name resolution is

correct between the two machines

Hi Zlatko,

This is supported at the moment with NetWorker 8 as 'experimental support' on NetWorker clients only and in non-production.  I expect that full support will be coming soon (I don't know exactly when).

Full details here:

Thank you for your answer.

I have different question then...

Where can I report issues using NetWorker client 8.0.0.4 ?

In my case I have problem in defining Windows 2012 client on NMC using Client Configuration Wizard. When I put hostname, I got this error:

"RPC- Remote Procedure Call:  Connection reset by peer"

I have no firewall on the host, and, NetWorker service is running.

Non-wizard client creation and backup work like a charm.

Thank you for your help

I always get "The server at solutions.emc.com is taking too long to respond." when trying to access the resource.

Could you please verify the link? Thanks.
