Networker Disaster Recovery Question

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate your help in a question I have, which is the first thing to do when an administrator tries to perform a Disaster Recovery from a tape on a NW Server to retrieve the data? You must load and mount the tape or load the tape without mounting?

Thank you for your support!

Hi,

Remember that you are doing a DR no a freshly installed NetWorker application which has no volume information. So even if you try to load and mount the tape it will fail. You will have to load without mount for the tape to get on the drive and stay there.

But in case you are trying to go back to an earlier configuration on an already existing NetWorker server you can use either load with mount or load without mount both work the same.

Ok, so mount and not load would be in this case, in the DR, thank you again crazyrov, you're awesome
