Not able to set retention policy time
Hi all. I'm trying to set the retention time on my default clone pool but I keep getting the following error message:
NSR pool 'default clone' may not be modified.
I realized that my retention period is not as long as I want. How do I change this and what does this error mean? thanks

well, erm, this means that the resource for NSR pool "Default Clone" really cannot be changed. Think of it as a non-changeable template, that still provides cloning functionality, but with "default" values only.
I suggest creating your own clone pool, where you can set up retention times as needed, and streaming all the upcoming clone jobs to use your new clone pool instead.
For the existing tapes in Default Clone - you can wait up until tapes past retention, then recycle, or if its tight with retention, you probably might be able to clone savesets again from Default Clone pool to your new clone pool, with changed retention time. Check Powerlink/Docs for more information.
hope this helps,

You don't. You specify new cloning pool in resources and label existing empty tapes to a new pool. Old ones you can stage or wait until they expire or have another clone or the clone.
