P2V conversion has Networker failing jobs on virtual clients?
We converted some physical machines to virtual machines and now we get error messages when the jobs run.
See error below

39078:save: SYSTEM error: client `IP address" is not properly configured on the NetWorker Server
5777:save: Cannot open save session with backupserver.com
We have restarted the networker services on the Linux client and will see what happens?
Any thoughts?

Hi John
The above error states that the client is not properly configured which means the server is not able to communicate with the client machine.
Please refer this link and confirm if all the parameters given in the steps are working correctly

If you have machine called foo and you get error like this, it means client identified as potential id for machine too and needs to be defined in alias list of you foo client. Fact that you get IP ADDRESS means that this thingy is most likely not in DNS. Quick fix is to add it to DNS or local hosts files on both client and server and associated name should be added to alias field of foo client.
