Probe job had unrecoverable failure(s), this job is being abandoned.
We upgraded our networker to 7.61, both server and clients. two of my servers that used to run nsrexeced and do the backup correctly now fail the backup with this error:
Probe job had unrecoverable failure(s), this job is being abandoned on the server side. nothing has been change with the client server's config. and the rest of the servers are woking fine(with the same config) any body knows what this error means and how to remedy it?
thank you in advance
Kathy

Try to figure out why probe is failing by running only probe. Go to client and run following from CLI:
savefs -s -vpn
Above won't do backup - just run probe (which is exactly what fails now) and error should be more clear to get you or us started.

Hello Kathy,
You may want to check the following document that describes in details the probe process and how to troubleshoot it.
http://powerlink.emc.com/km/live1/en_US/Offering_Technical/Technical_Documentation/300-012-625.pdf?mtcs=ZXZlbnRUeXBlPUttQ2xpY2tDb250ZW50RXZlbnQsZG9jdW1lbnRJZD0wOTAxNDA2NjgwNWIzM2RlLGRvY3VtZW50VHlwZT1wZGYsbmF2ZU5vZGU9MGIwMTQwNjY4MDQyNzY2OF9Hcmlk
Hope this helps,

Check for document on support.emc.com (powerlink data has been migrated long time ago)
