Problem while refreshing monitoring in NMC [Networker]
Hi,
I am facing a strange problem on one of windows server where Emc networker is installed. when i try to refresh monitoring page in NMC - its gives me following error
"waiting to shutdown information gathering service" and after this is hung on server.
Any suggestion in order to resolve this problem would be highly appreciated.

Try to restart the appropriate service:
net stop gstd
net start gstd
Then re-open the GUI and connect.

What about verifying in the Service Manager whether there is a service that is in the process of 'stopping'.
If so kill that guy.

Try stopping Networker Backup and Recover Server (service)
Restart EMC GST Service
Start Networker Backup and Recover Server (service)
Launch NWC
This usually works for me, if not i'll restart service on EBR
putty into Appliance
emwebapp.sh --restart

Hi
what is the OS of host where NMC is installed?
What is java version on this host?
I had a similiar problem and i've solved it downgrading java version on NMC host

Hi Nicolino,
Thanks for response.
I found the problem, it is becasue one of storage nodes which was causing the issue. i've deleted tmp files and restart the service which helps me out to solve this problem.
