RMAN backup configuration using wizard
We have a newly configured RMAN backup which we have configured with wizard in 8.2.1 (rather than create a script file the script is in the application information field). Saveset is RMAN:DATABASENAME_FULL. Server is RH Linux 7 and Oracle is 12.0. NMDA is 8.2.1.
We start the backup and we see backup pieces begin to backup; these all complete fine. One backup sits waiting corresponding to RMAN:DATABASENAME_FULL until last backup piece runs, this saveset then fails with error:
Unable to find any full backups of the save set 'ssr2270.sbs.local:RMAN:DATABASENAME_FULL' in the media database. Performing a full backup
We have tried using the option to save to an RMAN script file and ran again; this time we get the same error message but nothing backs up at all.
We have verified name resolution and checked for clientid issues; I have edited local resources to remove newauth.
Unfortunately our DBA does not seem to know much about RMAN so hoping someone may be able to make a suggestion what to look at next!

I am not an Oracle guy but the message looks weird - it usually points to a file system backup.
RMAN backups are always manual (client initiated) backups.
Our Oracle backups simply use RMAN scripts - the easiest way to initiate these backups.

We have found an error, the DBA had not configured TNSNAMES.ORA. We did this for him but it seems we still have this issue.
