Resize and decrease the internal storage for the VMware Backup Appliance
Hello everyone,
Is there any EMC document for resize VMware Backup Appliance disks?
The appliance will use a Data Domain storage, so I would reduce the disk size of 500 GB to 50 GB or less.

Isn't that vApp and sizing on 0.5TB is based on internal needs? Also, allocation as such would be dynamic (as per demand)?

Hi,
I understand that appliance has 4 disks. 1 for the system and 3 of 250 GB for backup storage. Probably these three disks are configured in RAID and therefore are available 0.5TB internal storage. Doesn't understand is why must leave this space in my envirolment if I will not use it. The backup in appliance will be written in Data Domain devices leaving these 0.5TB unused. Moreover our policy is to have all VMs using Thick provisioning and don't Thin provisioning making these 0.5TB to be allocated immediately in my stogare.
