1) Can I use adv_file to save indexes?

I agree with Panwar,
1) Can I use adv_file to save indexes?
Yes, create the adv_file on a cluster resource, i.e. on a disk that is assigned/controlled by the cluster itself.
2) Can I configure adv_file over a globally mounted file system?
You can, but you may have a performance issue if the connection is not reliable.
Thanks,
Mustafa

1) Can I use adv_file to save indexes?
Answer:You can save indexes on adv_file. Whenever a backup happen there will two indexes created. One is on the networker server and other will be on the Destination where the backup saved, it can be a tape or adv_file type.
2) Can I configure adv_file over a globally mounted file system?
Answer:I believe you can configure adv_file over a globally mounted file system, if there is no credential issue where in networker server should have write permission.I am not pretty sure on this, because i haven't tested from my end.
