Testing Nw 7.6.2: H:\ No such file or directory (with clientes in cluster)
Hello.
I'm testing Nw 762, as you know, and I have an error message: "H:\ No such file or directory.
My test laboratory: <-/p>
-server1.-w2003 x86 with networker server 7.6.2
-sever2.- w2003 x86 with networker server 7.6.2 and NMC
All of them in a w2003 Microsoft cluster
Testclient:
-1x.prueb.- w2008 x64 R2 <-/p>
-1w.prueb.- w2008 x64 R2 <-/p>
Twice with w2008 R2 cluster and sharing H:\ Cluster name cluster_1x_1w.
If 1x.pru have resource H:\ when I try to backup 1x.pru (with save set to ALL) only work C:\ and D:\ but not H:\ with the error: "6999:save:H:\ No such file or directory"
If I try to backup cluster_1x_1w (with save set to H:\) report the same error.
I try to looking for same answer in Networker manual but I dont find nothig. Pdt.- Excuse for my write english.

Are you trying to backup H drive under physical name of the host or virtual one? I assume 1x and 1w are physical hosts here. In such case you must use virtual name as it owns shared resource.

Thanks for your answer. Do you mean that i have to create a client, in Networker Server (NMC) named cluster_1x_1w and in its save set put H:\? 1x and 1w are physicals host, H:\ is in a LUN and this H:\ have a SQL DataBase. I try to backup H:\ and show the error I told you ("6999:save:H:\ No such file or directory") , and when I try to backup SQL DataBase named db_production failed too. Thanks for your time. PDT.- In windows 2008 R2 instalation path is program files but i have w2008 r2 spanish version and then instalation path is Archivos de Programa, is correct?

No such file or directory sounds more as there is really no such drive (perhaps running on passive node). But yes, please create cluster_1x_1w, place to remove access both physical nodes and give it a try.
