Hi Mandri,
Couple of things:
1.- Remove the remote user.
2.- If you are not using a proxy host, remove the data mover information as well as the DM port variables.
3.- What is your snapshot policy? If you intend to retain snapshots, you would need to set NSR_EXCH_RETAIN_SNAPSHOTS=yes, otherwise leave it as it is and select serverless backup snapshot policy or select 1-1-day.
Thank you,
Carlos

Do you have "checkpoint restart enabled"? If so please disable it.
Also disable "Autorestart" in the group.
Leave "job control" options in the client all unchecked.
Use ONLY the following variables:
NSR_SNAP_TYPE=vss
NSR_ALT_PATH=c:\tmp
NSR_EXCH2010_BACKUP=active
NSR_EXCH2010_DAG=dag.gmntest.local
If still fails please attach the nmm.raw file from the client.
Thank you,
Carlos

Carlos, and you can prompt where it is switched off or changes?
as I established NSR_EXCH_RETAIN_SNAPSHOTS=no and result the same

Mandri,
You still have not selected the snapshot policy correctly:
Error: Local retention of snapshots is not allowed unless the Exchange application information variable NSR_EXCH_RETAIN_SNAPSHOTS is present and contains the value "yes"
I'll investigate about the failure a bit further.
Thank you,
Carlos

Hi Mandri
If you snapshot policy is as follows:
Snaphost=1
Retain=0
Backup=all
Expiration=day
then you do NOT have to set retain snapshots=yes, and no need to set it to No either, just don't add that variable, as the default is No.
Thank you,
Carlos

Settings didn't yield result, the same error:
50423:nsrsnap_vss_save:nsrsnap_vss_save: Unknown Application Information parameter: NSR_SAVE_FROM_SAVEGRP_NSRSNAP, may not be supported

Hello,
NSR_SAVE_FROM_SAVEGRP_NSRSNAP, may not be supported
This means that browse and retention policy overrides have been provided in the Advanced tab of the Group Properties.
Solution. Please remove the overrides and re-run the backup it will work.

Good afternoon. By default these parameters and so are absent. If to define them - the mistake too is.

Just select Snapshot policy "rollover only"
Should work than.
I assume you are doing Software VSS with exchange. Thats the right one to pick.
