Using Networker 8.2.1 through BigIP and a firewall

All,

I'm running NetWorker on a RHEL 6.6 server that is behind BigIP and a firewall.  I've had TCP ports 9000 and 9001 opened.  I've opened UDP 2638.  Outbound connections to my workstation's subnet are not blocked.  I've set the tcp keepalive sysctl settings as directed in the Security Configuration Guide.  IPtables isn't running and SELinux is set to permissive mode.

When I run NMC, I can authenticate but the console never loads.  After a few minutes I get a timeout error message.

As a workaround, I'm running NMC via an SSH forwarded X-session.  It works but I'd rather not resort to this configuration permanently.

If you're running a similar configuration, how are you configured?

Most likely some connection is getting dropped - if you check fw logs, do you see what it is?
