VADP with Windows 2000 Virtual Machine
Does anybody know if a VM running Windows 2000 is supported by EMC Networker for VADP backups?
I tried but I am getting errors. Tried both with IP and Name lookup, both fail with different errors.
Worked fine with VCB on the same infrastructure.
Can't seem to find anything about it in the docs...

For those interested, I got an answer from EMC Support. Since Microsoft no longer supports Windows 2000, EMC doens't either. Therefore you can not backup virtual machines running Windows 2000 via VADP.
Two remaining options: leave a storage node on 7.6.1.x to do VCB for those machines or install a client on the VM's and do regular client backups.
Bummer but that's the way it is.
