Hi Everyone,

we cant label the tapes since the networker, we have the same errors with different tapes having the same error.

we use networker server 8.2.4 and Tape Library Spectra LTO6 with firmware 12.6.45 and the tapes firmware G9P1

Inspect your hardware - it might be that a tape will not be ejected far enough so the the gripper can catch it.

As a consequence, the tape drive will report an ejected cartridge. Howerver, the drive is still (partially) loaded.

Usual solution: re-insert the tape into the drive and retry the eject/unmount operation.

Could be potential hardware issue, I can see you are using non-persistent names for tape drives....so please check if drive name has got changed ?

Read/Write open error usually comes when software has problem communicating with the hardware, and there can be n number of reasons behind it(Drive requires cleaning, drive name got changes if not using persistent names etc)

Will suggest you to configure persistent naming for drive to avoid getting into this situation because of name change.
