archiving with networker 7.4

Question

I have networker 7.4 and quntum iscalar500, i need to configure archiving with 2 or 3 tapes on the networker to be able to manually archive some files to tape. please can some one help with the steps. thanks

Networker is not a true archiving solution. All you can expect from it is a backup which is kept there for very long time. A true archive solution can give you pointers to archive space so that you can access data as smoothly as before archiving. Networker just copies it in a different format to a media where you need to search for an item when you need it.
