Hi there,

I believe you are asking if saveset recovery is available for NMM backups?

The answer is no.

The explanation is as follows:

NMM backups are VSS based backups, and use snapshot technology.

The snapshots have special indexing, and needs to use BCD in order to backup and restore data.

In this case the coverset (VSS:\) and the BCD (.xml files) will be needed to perform any restore so for instance, if you perform a saveset restore, Exchange writer needs to be aware of the data backed up and be restored in order to place it in the correct place and perform the post-snapshot-restore operations.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Carlos.
