nsr_recover folder under C:\Temp after Full system restore
Hi -
We performed a full system restore of a 2003 Windows server C,D and all VSS savesets
After the restored completed we have files (about 600MB) in C:\Temp\...
The Admin guide says that around 500Mb is needed for temporary files for VSS
My question is why are these created and what will they be used for?
Also many times we are very tight on space on the recovery of the C:\ drive (OS) and the additonal space for these temp files
cannot be accomadated for, is there anyway for the recovery to send these files to another drive?
I have tried changing the $TMP and $TEMP variables to point to the F:\ drive but the files still ended up under C:\TEMP
Only some files (2MB) ended up in the F: drive all of these from Automated System Recovery Files component
thanks

I believe NW should use system %TEMP% for this. These are temp files and I believe they might be removed after VSS part is done (which is probably after reboot of the box so that all files are applied).
