nsrinfo mminfo number of files backed up discrepencies
Has anyone seen this before . Customer using Data Domain Boost as the storage node to backup a VNX
via networker
the nsrinfo command returns the correct number of files but mminfo with the nfiles option
displays about 400 times the number shown in nsrinfo .
Sample command:
mminfo -avot -q "client=xxxx,name=/root_vdm_1/xxxx" ?r "client,group,name,nfiles,volume,pool,ssid,cloneid,savetime(33),nsavetime,sscomp,ssbrowse,ssretent,copies,clonetime,clretent,level,sumsize,sumflags"
xxxxx STH_NAS_02 /root_vdm_1/xxxx 2751346 DDB_DEF-08 DDBDefault1 530559342 1335865710 5/1/2012 9:48:30 PM 1335865710 5/2/2012 6/6/2012 6/6/2012 2 5/1/2012 6/6/2012 incr 113 GB cbNs
Sample test
C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin>mminfo -avot -r "nfiles,name"
nfiles name
25 /etc/hosts <<<<<<=====================>>25 files according to mminfo [entries are being updated as got from NAS box]
C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin>nsrinfo netapp65
scanning client `netapp65' for all savetimes from the backup namespace
/etc/hosts/hosts, date=1340089713 6/19/2012 12:38:33 PM
/etc/hosts/, date=1340089713 6/19/2012 12:38:33 PM
/etc/, date=1340089713 6/19/2012 12:38:33 PM
/, date=1340089713 6/19/2012 12:38:33 PM
4 objects found <<=====================4 number of files according to nsr index
do not think this is a NAS issue , happens only when backed up to

Your email seem to be some bad kind of copy and paste thus certaing things seem to be missing - can you post that again? As far as that nfiles and nsrinfo goes, please try to focus on one example where:
- you show mdb properties showing ssid flags, nfiles, nsavetime and client name by mminfo
- you show index propeties showing output using nsrinfo with nsavetime and client name from above mminfo command
