remote disaster recovery site for legato networker

Hi,

I currently have 2 Legato servers with ~ 20 legato clients. The legato servers are Win2008-R2. The clients Win2003, Win2008 and Red Hat Linux. For case of disaster we currently store a tapeset in another building. Now, we start thinking about a hot disaster recovery site on a remote site.

I have no idea how to start with this.

Is there any documentation available ? Any article ?

Do i need other products as well .... who has experience with that ?

Rgds,

Johan

Hi Johan,

There's a section of the NetWorker Disaster Recovery Guide that goes into 'More advanced disaster recovery considerations' page 32 which might be a good place to start.

Replistor is a product that can replicate your networker server to DR site.  Last I heard Replistor was going end of life.  Not sure if there will be a replacement.

For a hot DR site, you may want to look into Data Domain for networker instead of using tapes.
