subnetmask issue
Hi dears:
I have networker 8.1.3 and it was working good till I changed the sumbnet off my server so now it can not communicate with the clients
and I changed clients sub net to same sub net now when I just change the server mask to old one every thing will work fine even clients are on new subset so what should I do to make my server work fine with new sub net

if both are able to talk to each other then it is just a matter of deleting NSR peer information from both server and clients.

Hi Mr.SurajPujari
thanks for your Answer
my problem is that when I change my server to my new subnet they can not talk to each others
I tried deleting NSR peer information from both server and clients but it didn't work

Your statement is ambiguous. Most likely you changed the IP address and the subnet mask.
So other firewall rules may be valid now.
And do not forget ...
- you might have used host files. So you must adjust them.
- the /nsr/res/servers file at the networker client might need an adjustment.
If so do not forget that you must restart the NW client daemon/service.
- the remote storage nodes, if this applies to your data zone.
You could also delete/rename your nsrladb directory.
The best method to check the connection would be that you run
"nsradmin -p nsrexec -s server" from the NW client or
"nsradmin -p nsrexec -s client" from the NW server.

Thanks bingo I will try what you said and we will see
but my problem is not with IP I have just changes subnetmask of server and clients
so when I remain clients on new subnet and server with old subnet every thing work great
but when I change server subnet also every thing will go wrong
thanks.
