5548 Switch Stack Crash

Hello,

I'm running a pair of 5548's stacked.    I'm seeing the switches crash occasionally with this error message:

27-Jul-2013 12:42:03 :%OS-F-MEMORY: OSMEMG_rn_free: Memory magic is invalid

I'm running the latest software:

Unit             SW version         Boot version         HW version
------------------- ------------------- ------------------- -------------------
         1               4.1.0.10            1.0.0.14            00.00.02
         2               4.1.0.10            1.0.0.14            00.00.02

Anyone have any suggestions?   I've got better logging in place now, so when it crashes again, hopefully I have more detail I can post on it.

Thank you.

I could not find a lot of info on this error. But this is what I would look into.

First I would check and see if there is a common command or Web GUI task that you perform, that causes this behavior. Or even check the type of traffic on the network when the issue comes up. If there is a trigger that is causing this type of behavior we can use it to do further troubleshooting.

If we cannot find a trigger then I would proceed with re-flashing the firmware to the same one it is already at.

Another thing we can try is switching which switch is the master, and see if the issue still occurs.

Keep us updated.

Thanks.
