Cannot get Dell N2024 to work.
Greets everyone!
I have a new Dell N2024 (no Dell switch experience whatsoever). I connect my PC to it via CLI cable and run Putty. Everything ok. Connected.
Initial configuration asks me about :
SNMP community : public
Management IP : 0.0.0.0
VLAN1 routing interface : 10.18.28.9 , 255.255.255.128
Default Gateway : 0.0.0.0
I also put in the admin user (username and password with privilege 15)
...and I save the configuration.
So.. I try to ping 10.18.28.9... no response.
I try to login via web (http://10.18.28.9) .... no response
Scan the network with an app.. no response.
The switch is connected to the network via port 1 (it blinks like its ok). I run the "show ip interface" and I get "Vl1 Up 10.18.28.9 255.255.255.128 Manual"
What is happening? I cant find it..
Thank you very much, in advance.
PS : I save the configuration, restarted.. nothing.

Hi,
Can you Private message me the service tag so we can get some additional device information?
Have you tried to set a management IP and default gateway?

but nothing.. I cannot even ping my switch..

Can you run "sh arp" and "sh lldp nei" under the switch console and put the ouput here ?
