DHCP Relay not working using N1148 switch and 2 vlans

Hi,

I'm configuring a DHCP Relay on Dell N1148T-ON switch to forward DHCP requests to the DHCP server in a router. The router has DHCP service working for 2 VLANs. I interconnect the switch and router using a port 1, configured as General, Untagged for Vlan1 and Tag for Vlan2.

Port 1 is General, Untagged for Vlan1 and Taged for Vlan2.

Port 47 is Access, Untagged for Vlan 2.

DHCP L2 Relay is Enable, interface 47 is configured to Enable DCHP Mode and Disable DHCP Relay Trust.

DHCP L2 Relay Vlan: Vlan 2 is Enable at DHCP Relay Mode, and Disable  DHCP Relay Circuit ID .

I did not able to find the option IP helper-address on my equipment,  N1148T-ON .

DHCP Relay just works when I change the configuration for Port 47 and Untagged the port for Vlan 1.

Do you have orientation how I can have DHCP relay working for two VLANs on this switch ?

Thanks,

Fernando

Hi,

Can you private message me the service tag, so I can get some additional information?

What commands have you run to configure the dhcp relay?

Hi Josh,

I've the same issue over here with N1548P switch which we can't obtain IP addresses from our MS DHCP server in different VLAN?
