Dell 10GE SFP+ Dual Port Module 6200-XGSF (DPN OU691D) Red

I have a Dell 6248 PowerConnect Switch with 2 x Dell 10GE SFP+ Dual Port Module 6200-XGSF (DPN OU691D) cards.  One of the cards displays 2 Red LED lights as soon as a boot the switch.  I have tried swapping the cards to the other port but the Red LEDs follow the card.

When I run

console#show fiber-ports optical-transceiver

                                   Output    Input

Port     Temp  Voltage  Current     Power    Power   TX     LOS

:emotion-44:   [Volt]     [mA]     [dBm]    [dBm]   Fault

-------  ----  -------  -------   -------  -------   -----  ---

1/xg1     0.0    6.553    131.0     8.165    8.165   No     Yes

1/xg2     0.0    6.553    131.0     8.165    8.165   No     Yes

I don't see the 2nd card which would be g3, g4.

What options do I have to troubleshoot this card?

When I perform a sh interfaces status I see

1/xg1  10G - Level                     Full    10000    Auto Up        Active

1/xg2  10G - Level                     Full    10000    Auto Up        Active

1/xg3  10G - Level                     N/A     Unknown  Auto Down      Inactive

1/xg4  10G - Level                     N/A     Unknown  Auto Down      Inactive

It does appear the switch sees the card OK but even when I plug in the twinax from the working card, the status of the interface doesn't change.

Sounds like you have done a good job troubleshooting the card. With the information provided i would say the card is bad and needs to be replaced.

Daniel - Is there anything in firmware/software I can try?

Here is the latest firmware for the 6248. If it is not up to date, it would not hurt to get it updated.

You have done everything i would recommend doing to troubleshoot the issue.
