Dell PowerConnect 5448 Internet Explorer Not responding?

Hi, I can connect to the switch with IE and it opens up the login screen, after I login it will display the home page but not the left side panel, it then freezes up and displays the message that xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is not responding? I have also tried it in Chrome with the same results. Also, the same thing when I try my connecting into my second 5448 switch. I have rebooted the switches with no change. Has anyone else experienced this/

Hi,

Was this working previously? Does it work if you use CLI to configure the switch? What version of java are you using?

Yes,  and I managed to fix it somehow but I can't remember how. Digging through notes, so I'll post back when I find.

I'm having the same issues. Did you manage to document how you solved the problem? I'm on Windows 8.1 Pro and none of my browsers (IE11, Chrome & Firefox) will properly connect after logins. I have no problem with CLI.

Have you done the typical browser troubleshooting steps of clearing cache, history, cookies, disable any addons? Have you checked the firmware on the switch? We have a unit on 2.0.0.46 and have no issues access the switch from the latest versions of IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

I just updated to 2.0.0.46 and have the same issue. Did anyone ever find a solution?

Not that I've seen. I'm now on Windows 10 and I can't even access them via telnet which I was able to do under Win8.1

I fix the issue by added the switch's IP to the Compatibility View Settings in IE 11
