Multicast traffic over two S-3048 connected by port-channel

Hi,

I have 2 S3048 interconnect at Port 51 and 52, and configured Port-Channel 10. Both switches are at 10.4.2 firmware.

The interlink is trunk to allow VLAN 10. I have IGMP Snooping enabled globally and for VLAN 10. Mrouter interface configured for Port-Channel 10 of both switches. I have only 1 IP IGMP Snooping Querier configured in one 1 switch i.e. on SW1.

Issue: Multicast streams are ok at each individual switch i.e. both Source and Receivers on same switch. However, if I have the Source and Receiver at different switch, the Receiver will not be able to get the multicast stream. I can see the multicast group created when I do a " show ip igmp snooping groups".

Below is a snapshot configuration of SW1. SW2 is almost similar config except that I did not enable querier on SW2 interface vlan 10.

Need some help if anyone knows the possibly mistake in the configuration? Thanks so much.

Hi Tkpoh,

It is just multicast streams that are not working? Other traffic is fine? What is the output of show ip igmp snooping interface and show ip igmp snooping mrouter?

Hey @DELL-Josh Cr - Did you come to a resolution here?

I'm having a similar issue with the same model switch, but over a hybrid port (snooping & querrier enabled just like here).

Hi alawc,

We did not, I believe the original poster called phone support, but I am not sure of the resolution.
