NSA 3600 10Gb SFP+ Compatibility

While planning out some network upgrades, I was told that there might be some communication issues between the SFP+ ports on a Dell SonicWall 3600 and a NETGEAR ProSAFE XS748T due to a mismatch of the brands. Are the communication protocols over SFP+ really so non-standard and brand specific that they wouldn't interface properly? I was under the impression that routing protocols are standard across the board and that there aren't too many devices out there for networking that stray away from industry standards. I have already verified that the Netgear device adheres to IEEE standards and MSA certifications. Any insight into the Dell side of this?

Thanks,
Will

As long as the transceiver is on this list: https://bit.ly/2kc2hZn, you should not have any issues.
