PC8024F

Hi,

After setting no enable password on my PC8024F , firmware 5.1.1.7, when i'm connected by SSH on it, i cannot enable it with success, i have the authentication failed error....

Do you have any ideas ?

not now, i'll go on site tomorrow to edit the configuration with a console cable:Ss

FYI, the firmware version is : 5.0.0.4

It appears that the enable password line is still present. When you run the no enable command does the switch return any error messages? Or anything recorded in the logs?

As a side not, that firmware is very old, you may want to consider updating it.

Yes, still present because i re-add it in the config file to allow remote ssh enable session.

if i configure no enable password. when i use SSH to remotely connect to the switch, the message is : authentication failed after typing en...

I hope that a firmware update will solve the trick...

As this trick os only to allow rancid backuping the configuration, do you have any rancid clogin script working good with Dell PConnect switches ?
