No matter what cable i remove or plugin i get erro on 1 -xg2and 2-xg1 (i've even use a new cable all together for both ports - 1M or 3M) Still same error pumping out of 1-xg2 and 2-xg1
Hence i decided to bite the bullet and swap out the module card itself. (I have a 2 unconfigured 6224 laying around, since it's the same 6200 series i swap the cards)
Since then... no error
"Show stack-port counter" = shows 0 error for everything
"Show stack-port diag" = show 0 for everything
A side question, since swapping out the module for both stacks. I notice that all my configuration is gone(meaning my switch ask me to whether i want to perform the Wizard). Is that expected ?
The stacking modules are not hot swappable. So if you removed the module card with the switch running that could explain the switch going back to a default with no configuration.
If you have 2 cables connected in an "X" pattern. You can remove one cable and see if the bandwidth decreases and the FCS errors stop. If no change you reinsert that cable and remove the second. If one cable or connector group is having errors and not the other then we have isolated the issue to that cable or connector.
You can call in for possible replacement of the identified components under warranty.

Hi,
I've taken your advice and remove one cable at a time.

Are you using the 1 meter or 3 meter cable that is compatible from Dell?
Are the cables kinked or have they been at some point?
Are these the only cables that you have? Do you have others available to test for a better or different response?
Are the stacked switches in a controlled environment wiring closet? Is there any outside interference that may be causing the FCS errors.
Do you have access to the CLI of the switch? Can you show the output of the command
console# show stack-port diag

I'm using the 1 meter cable that comes with the Dell. I'll be digging around but don't think i have spare ones to test.
What interference do you suggest that may cause FCS errors ? The switch is placed in an enclosure.
Here's the out put of the show stack-port diag. Thanks again for your response
