PowerConnect 6248 - Uploaded firmware not visible in Active Images
Hey all,
When trying to update the firmware on a PowerConnect 6248, I've been trying to use the following method:
System > File Management > File Download > HTTP
After browsing to the .stk file, and clicking "Apply Changes", the upload starts and seems to complete without any issues. After navigating to "Active Images" to attempt to apply the image file, it's just not listed - only the current version is available.
Is this expected behavior? Am I perhaps missing something?
Any assistance would be much appreciated, thanks

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the quick response. Funnily enough, this is the same video I found and used - and these are the steps I'm trying to follow. Once I get to the "Active Images" section, it only lists the current image file, and not the image I've attempted to upload.
The current version is 3.3.11.2, I'm trying to upgrade to 3.3.16.1

Thanks for all your assistance.
It seems the interface is what was confusing me. It displays a single line, with the current installed version, and a drop-down list for "image1" and "image2". The version numbers wouldn't change when I selected the image from the drop-down menu, so it appears as if there was only one firmware version available. I selected "image2" and clicked "Apply Changes", then the version numbers changed.
After the reset, it appears the new version is listed, and applied.
I hate to say it, but the interface just isn't very intuitive.

Thanks again
