Powerconnect 2708 capable of Ipv6 ?

Hello,

I have access to the 2708 menu but cant find anything about Ipv6.

Is Powerconnect 2708 capable of IPv6 ?

Do I have to update Firmware? (present Version: 1.0.1.05)

How do I update the firmware? I also would like to change the IP to the 192.168.16  or .1 range, but "Apply changes" did not accept it.

I found a link but it was broken.

------

Reason for all this:

I tested IPv6 on my network.

Test OK on Server and router

But all PC's who are routed through the switch fail the IPv6 Test.

Anyone can help?

You misunderstand.  The 2708 switch is a "Layer 2" protocol switch.  IPv6 is "layer 3" protocol not layer 2, so you won't see any configurable IPv6 features on this switch.  Thats why the manual doesn't make any reference.

Not trying to be condesending...  Reference URL below.

This is a layer 2 switch.  IPv6 is Layer 3, so I would think it passes that payload via encapsulation.
