what is the command for allow unsupported optic.. I have connected 40G back to back between two switches. however it's showing line protocol is down.

Hello,
As far as I know this command is a little different for OS 10 on S series. Could you try to this console(config)# allow unsupported-transceiver

Unfortunately, if that command that Erman gave you didn’t work there is not another way to do it. Optics above 10gb only support qualified transceivers. https://dell.to/2XaP1el

I've worked with the S4810's quite a bit, I've yet to see one not connect due to a non-qualified cable. Not saying it cant happen, I just havnt had that problem so far with the non-Dell cables I have tried that were non-qualified. Are you able to confirm a "supported" cable allows the connection to work?
