S5248F-ON / S4148T-ON QSFP28 Port @ 50G Rate
Is it possible to run any of the QSFP28 ports on the S5248F-ON and S4148T-ON switches in 50G mode? The design would be to run a S4128F-ON and put one of the QSFP28 ports into breakout mode (2 x 50G), and then connect to downstream S5248F-ON and S4148T-ON switches using a 100G QSFP28 to 2x50G QSFP28 breakout cable. Would we have to put the downstream S5248F-ON and S4148T-ONs into breakout mode too, even though they're not being broken out, they're just receiving half of a 100G port?

Thanks Josh. I saw that, and it makes sense for the S4128F-ON that would have the 100G end of the breakout cable, but just want to confirm that the same would be applicable on the other two? Diagram below:

Would we put the two downstream switches into breakout mode, too, or would the ports just auto-sense that they're only getting 50G and set their speed accordingly?

That should work fine.
