S6000 management interface connectivity issues
I have a bit of a strange issue with the dedicated management interface on an S6000 version 9.13
I have physically connected the management port to dedicated switch (untagged VLAN)
The same VLAN is configured on the S6000 switch.
What is strange is unless I add an IP to the interface VLAN on the S6000 the management traffic is very hit and miss. I may lose 70-80% of pings. As soon as I add a random non routable IP to the interface VLAN I dont lose any traffic.
Anyone else come across this before?

Hi,
Usually we recommend that the management port be on a VLAN that the rest of the switch isn’t using. It has its own routing table, so it might be creating a loop with itself.
