Update firmware on 6248 Stack?
Guys,
Any idea why the tftp operation will only copy the 3.3.5.5 firmware to one of the two 6248's in the stack?
Thanks,
TVB

Update: I went into the web interface and switched the Unit Type from "StackMember" to "Management" and after reconnecting, both units showed that the updated firmware version was loaded.
Now I just need to pull the trigger on the upgrade to 3.3.5.5!

Dan,
Can you provide the steps involved to break the stack before and restore it after the upgrade?
Thanks,

There was a similar forum post last year, but the forum user never updated with what they did to get things updated. I would schedule some time to break the stack. Update each switch individually and then once updated stack them back together.
Keep us updated.

Here is a great white page on stacking the 6200, including adding and removing stack members.

Good detective work, I am glad you were able to get it working.
