VLT fails upgrading S5232 from 10.4.3.6 to 10.5.1.1P1
Have a pair of these in a new buildout, operating in VLT. I'd like to upgrade the firmware prior to handover but after the reboot with the new software the VLT never seems to synchronize so all the ports except the VLT interconnects stay in Up/Down. I rolled back the firmware and after boot there's a
VLT_DELAY_RESTORE_COMPLETE event followed by all the ports transitioning to up.
Are these versions too far apart? Is there something I'm missing. TIA.

Yes, I can try that today. I need to get it figured out prior to handover.

Hi,
If you update then setup VLT does it work? You should be able to update directly between those versions.

Just to close the loop on this - the solution is in the release notes.
When going from 10.4 - 10.5 you have to stop at 10.5.0.6 along the way - which is the release that speak the VLT protocol of 10.4 and 10.5. From 10.5.0.6 you can go to current and everything works fine without interrupting traffic.
