VPC Domain id relevence
Does the VPC Domain ID in have any relevence outside the switches that have peer links.
We currently have a pair of N4064F switches in site A that are connected to another pair of switches in site B. The person who configured these two pairs of switches has given each pair a different VPC Domain ID.
I now want to connect another pair of switches to the pair in site A. Does this pair need to have a different VPC Domain ID?

Hi Qball2000,
The VPC Domain ID should be different for each pair of switches. Page 1080 https://dell.to/3sDItPo
Configure the VPC domain ID and also configure the local priority, if desired. The VPC domain ID is not important except that it MUST be the same as the MLAG peer and SHOULD be different than any other MLAG partner. The MLAG system MAC address may optionally be configured in the step.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Does this apply for a two-tier MLAG? The documentation here uses the same vpc domain (1) for each pair of switches. Page 16 onward - vpc config for switch pair 2/3 is the same as for 4/5: https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/common/powerconnect_nx00-usingmlag-whtppr_en-us.pdf
