X1026 to powerconnect 2824 vlan issue
So I use 3 vlans, 1 for untagged, 120 for tagged internal network and 8 for an off network internet connection. The 120 vlan is being tagged on the 2824 switch and it works just fine being passed through all the trunk links. I can connect to it anywhere that i set an access port of 120.
The issue I have is that I have the 8 vlan hooked up to a router running dhcp, it is being tagged by an access port on a x1026, it trunks perfectly fine through 2 other x1026s, If I set an access Vlan on one of them of 8 I can get a dhcp address and browse. The problem appears though the fiber link to the same 2824 switch that is tagging the 120 vlan. If I set an untagged port with pvid of 8 on this switch I can not get DHCP. The kicker is that every port for the 120 vlan is set the same as the 8 vlan but I can’t get dhcp to pass all the way to the end switch. Any Ideas here?

Hi, If you set a trunk port for vlan 8 instead of an access port does it change anything?

No it still isn't working for the 8 vlan, everything works fine for 120 which is set exactly the same way but not 8
