1737 Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet problem

Does anyone know if this adapter stands alone or is part of the motherboard? I've searched for videos/photos and all I find i people replacing wireless and bluetooth adapters, so I have a feeling I'm out of luck.

Dell Diagnostics reports no hardware/driver problems but of course I can only run the dx when the network is up and running.

It's down intermittently and seems as if it takes the WLAN with it. My iPod still connects, though, and the only way I can get internet back is a full reboot, ugh.
