Best Wifi AC Card upgrade for XPS L502x

Hi,

I currently have Dell XPS L502x which has "Intel Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1000 with no Bluetooth" installed. Also I'm currently using Windows 10 with Intel Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.4Ghz.

I'm looking to upgrade it to a latest AC Wireless card but struggling to find out which one will be compatible. I see the new XPS 13 boasts "Killer 1535 802.11ac 2x2 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1".

Can anyone suggests if that would be compatible and if not, any other tried and tested AC Wifi card for this laptop?

I see couple of suggestions from old forums like "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260" but there are new cards out there in market so trying to get the best available.

Also if someone can share a bit of knowledge on how to know whether a card would work or not by looking at the specifications, it would be great.

Thanks

Aronish

Not tested by Dell. These were the validated wireless cards =
XXG96 Intel 6230 802.11 a/b/g/n, BT3.0 + HS
WT8X2 Intel 6150, Kelsey Peak WiFi_WiMAX Half Mini-Card
7KGX9 Intel 1030 802.11 b/g/n, BT3.0 + HS
V830R Intel 1000 802.11n Half Mini card

But in theory, if the replacement fits the motherboard slot, and has Windows 10 drivers, then it could work.

I was on vacation for couple of months so just logged in back now. Thanks for the recommendation. Do you know any validated AC card with BT 4.0 instead of 3.0 ?
