Connecting my Dell Inspiron 15 to Sony Bravia Smart TV

I have been trying to connect my laptop to the TV wirelessly, both are dlna certified and I believe laptop has widi. But try as much as I can, I have not been able to accomplish the connection. Can someone help me with a "how to" on this?

Btw we were able to connect up the youtube app and see on tv what was playing on the computer. I would like to extend this to all apps on the laptop
