Dell 5150C and WiFi
I have a 4-yr-old 5150C, which I love. It runs XP Pro with SP3, but has no WiFi or ethernet facilities. It has been working on a slow modem connected via USB, which has now failed. My son has a modern laptop with a high-speed wifi modem/router, and I would like to connect to this. I envisage a small unit receiving the wifi signal, and converting it to a USB input for my Dell.
I am retired, and no computer genius. Is what I have described a 'dongle'? Someone recommended the ASUS USB-BT211 to me ... would this work?

Wassock,
Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system? If yes, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct
Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
Can you run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here?
