Driver needed D400: Broadcom mini pci BCM94318
Latitude D400 Win XP sp3.
My wireless mini-pci card seems to have died. To replace the original card I bought a Broadcom BCM94318 (model WL5011s (TECOM) ) that was listed as compatible in a D400. No drivers just the hardware. My machine recognizes that the card is physically there but I do not have a drivers for it.
Where can I get a driver that works?

After waiting on the Dell Live-Chat queue for 40 minutes and some research by the Dell tech he determined that the following driver from Dell is the one I needed:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats/Product/latitude-D400?DriverId=WK5VG&FileId=2731095321&urlProductCode=False
The big clue is that the BCM94318 is described as "Wireless 1370 WLAN MiniPCI Card".
Works great. Hope this helps someone else.

Hi WalkGood,
According to the description of the wireless card (Broadcom BCM94318) given by you, I could find the following driver from web:
http://download.wireless-driver.com/driver/Broadcom/BCM94318E.rar
If you don’t have an extractor to open this file you can download WinRAR from the following link:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_winrar_32/
Download and install the driver. Also you can find more details on this driver from the following link:
http://www.wireless-driver.com/broadcom-bcm94318mpg-mini-pci-driver/
Do reply with results.

Thank you for the reply.
Is that a trusted source? I would feel safer if the driver came from Dell directly or Broadcom or even Intel.

Hi WalkGood,
This driver is not from Dell and hence it is not tested on our machines. Also we couldn’t find the desired driver on the Broadcom official website. We found the driver from the description of the card that you provided us (BCM94318). You might want to get in touch with the seller of the wireless card where you purchased it from.
