Ethernet not detected on Inspiron N5010
I have an Inspiron N5010 laptop running windows 7 home premium. Wireless adapter runs ok and I can connect to Internet and other computers on my network. However, my ethernet adapter is not being recognmized or listed by any of the hardware scan utilities. I have downloaded and installed updated drivers but no luck.
Please Help.

Change the port on your router that the Ethernet cable is connected to. Make sure the cable is fitting snugly on both ends Try using a new ethernet cable.

It appears as a device once it's connected to a network.
