How to make my network connection the default

Last week we had a wireless router installed for a desktop and two laptops. One of the laptops connects immediately to the network; the other logs on  to another (any one of several) available wireless connections, which have low or no connectivity. Each time I start this laptop, I must manually disconnect the connection Control Point chose, and then connect to my network. How can I get it to choose my network first?

On the laptop having trouble connecting to your network, you can do one of two things:

1.  Delete all other networks but yours.

2.  Move your network up to the top of the list of found networks.

Your computer will always attempt to connect to an available network nearest the top of the list first.
