Inspirion 530 - Explorer Cannot display webpage

Purchased system in Jan, 2009. Started having ths proplem about a week ago. I have a wired cable LAN. Connection looks Ok. Device working properly. Excessive wait time connecting to webpages.. Status bar shows "Waiting for https://,,,,, before error is displayed. Webpage is displayed after sometimes several refreshs. It's taken me approx 40 min to get this far.
