Inspiron 1501 Wireless Adapter
This appears to be a common problem according to posts on the Web but I have found no solution yet. Reinstalled XP (total wipe and re-format) and used the Dell Resource CD to install device drivers. Noticed then that the Resource utility did not list the Wireless Adapter. Went to Big Brother Dell online and via service tag found the device to be a Mini Card Dw1395 4312BG. Download Dell recomended driver R151519 but no go. Device Manager shows device as a "Network Controller". Have tried about everything I can think of, anybody have any ideas??? Thanks.

Found my own answer for anyone who might care. The correct driver for the fore mentioned device is R174291 available on the Dell driver page. Had to find the Dell part number for the card , WX781,and then the appropriate driver. Keep in mind this is for the AMD motherboard and XP OS.
I would like to thank all those at Dell who made this problem possible. In my moment of need you once again came through like I knew you would.
