Inspiron B120 and Wireless

Help! I just got the B120 and can't get my external wireless card to be recognized. I don't even see the wireless network tab is STILL missing on my Network Options even though I did everything the link told me to do on the Tech Support Site. I've called Tech support and have been transferred so many times to sales and back again. someone, please help!

What make and model "external wireless card" are you trying to install?

Thank you for letting me know this. Can you give me some recommendations for which usb wireless adapter I should be looking for? I spent 30 minutes on online chat with support and sales today and they told me 2 different cards would work. One was the Netgear WG511 wireless card and the other was $249 but I can't find it now. I'm so confused because I see on this forum that the basic model can't use a card for wireless and then customer support says I can.

It's the Linksys notebook adapter WPC55AG. I have the absolute basic model computer.

Any USB wireless adapter should work (the U in USB stands for Universal).  One should cost no more than $40.

That adapter is a PC card adapter.  The B120 does not have a PC card slot.  The slot is an "Express Card" slot.  The only way to go wireless with the the B120 is with a USB wireless adapter.
