Inspiron Mini can't connect to wireless network

Have a brand, spankin' new Inspiron Mini that apparently can't find my wireless home network. My Dell Latitude has no problem locating and connecting, but the new mini's having problems. I have a Linksys router WRT54G2. When I click the wireless connection icon in the bottom task bar, I get a message that says "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection" and that if I've enabled another program to manage the wireless connection, I should start the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service. Why can't it just find my home network?
