Internet Gateway Disabled - Inspiron 1300

Just formatted Inspiron 1300 and reinstalled XP.
Wired connection is connected as is wireless, however Internet gateway shows as disabled.
Tried to enable and comes up connection failed.
I have turned off windows firewall.

Have run diagnostic which says cannot connect to:-

HTTP Port 80
HTTPS Port 443
FTP Port 21

Our home network runs through a Sky router and have never had issues before.
Am i missing a trick?
